Up for sale is a one of a kind, beautiful vintage Italian Low Pro frame. I bought this frame a long time ago from a guy in Germany, I rode it two years until I was knocked out by car. I think its a rare and unique beautiful frame.
Not sure about the tubing but as you can see is very similar to the Colnagos star shaped tubes, which could be Columbus Gilco. The bottom bracket shell is stamped with CHIERICI PARMA-ITALY and Vetta on the side. It has some very nice details: beautiful lug work, diamond shaped chain stays, chromed rear triangle, chromed forks, slightly curved seat tube, Scarpa pantographed on the seat stays as well as an S on the forks, track drop outs. It's pearlescent white with a gradient of bright red. Undrilled.
The frame includes a Campagnolo Centaur bottom bracket and a stronglight headset.
Issues: Sadly the seatpost is stuck :( and the fork is slightly bent sideways. Its steel so it could go back to its original shape. Obviously the frame has suffered some stress. I did take the frame to Tokyo Fixed Gear (when they were in Peter St.) to be checked and they confirmed the frame was straight, the worse bit damaged from the accident was the pedal thread on the left side crank. The scratch on the tube it's been there since I bought it (little detail the previous owner forgot to photograph).
Its been my favourite ride but it has been seating in my room (now at my friends leaving room) for many years, so its time to let it go to a good home.
I havent been able to find much information about it. Years ago I saw a post about it on a German forum but I cant find it anymore. I have tried contacting Chierici bikes and Vetta but havent had any luck yet. Vetta has a very similar road low pro, same tubing, pretty much same shape.
