Goodbye Lula Balula. We will miss your teeny tiny pink nose. It's so hard right now but we know we have done the right thing. We know we want to adopt again but we might have difficulty with living on a boat. For now though we have that strange empty silence to get used to.

@betty, as almost every boat I know has a cat or dog, I’m sure you’ll be able to adopt, esp if it’s a house cat. I just have a rat. And if the fucker’s still there when I get back to the UK tomorrow, I’m burning the bastard boat down.

I have had 2 horrible dreams concerning Patch:

1. I got myself a new dog and it went sort of missing day 1 and Patch seems to have something to do with it. (This might well be reality if I did decide to have a dog)

2. Patch has been signed off from her recent dental op, all is well in the world, then I got a text from the vet saying they have discovered some horrible illness on her and I need to bring her back, so I did. They then talked me into leaving her there for 4 days and in the end, they’d probably have to put her to sleep. What happens after that is a bit of a blur other then a lot of emntional struggles that I am still feeling now I am wide awake, but the dream ended up with me rushing back to the vet on day 4 in tears trying to stop them, I remember saying to the vet just pump her up with loads of drugs, I don’t care etc... but in the end, they’d put her to sleep...

Guess I have been seeing too many friends here and elsewhere who have had to put their cats to sleep due to various reasons recently and I am worried that this day will come sooner rather than later... ☹️☹️☹️

Is there any actual facts supporting cats like blue? I asked on this forum when I was getting ready to pick Patch up the cattery and was suggested blue and we have been using blue every since.

I also have a winter human size blanket for me but needless to say, it is now hers...

But I bought her another blue blanket for Christmas last year, she hates it and never touches it.

long story short most of our cats seem(ed) to like the blue blankets.
