The price is high, the quality is poor, and the brake track is stupidly shallow. But by far the biggest problem is that the recess in the middle of the rim for the bead to drop into when you're fitting the tyre isn't deep enough. So if you put more than one layer of tape on, it's impossible to fit a tyre at all. With one layer of tape it is just possible to fit a tyre, but only with immense time and effort, bloodied knuckles and, in my case, bellowing screams of pure rage. Then, when you've finally got the tyre on, it has very little interest in seating properly because the beads are already stretched tight.
It's a poor design which has ben badly implemented and they're spectacularly overpriced. The XR26T is a better rim in every conceivable way.
