My hometown 'stros may take the world series. That would be amaeze.

Thanks, Rich. I don't watch streams, though.

I saw an Astros at Dodgers game in LA, and then Astros at Giants in SF, in 1992. I think they lost both, but I'd have to look it up.

My family moved to Minnesota in the summer of 1987, the year Twins went on to improbably win the World Series. The next year we moved to LA and the Dodgers won. CSB. I still remember this like it was yesterday:

Been to quite a few Jays games over the years... always a good atmosphere and can't beat a ballgame when the sun's out with beer... shame they were crap this year!

Didn't think they'd do it to be honest... the Dodgers had an amazing season this year but well done Astros... there's a first time for everything
-

It sounds as if that wasn't a very exciting game. Lots of Dodgers LOB, could conceivably have been more interesting if they'd made it closer. Still, well done Astroogahs.

Keep in mind that the city is still recovering from a devastating flood
My sister took this pic on a visit back in Sept - entire neighborhoods looked like this.

This is why most of the city are doing this.

Unthinkable!
One of the best post seasons in a long time for me. Particularly the Yankees games. It’s good to see them back in the finals. Can’t believe how far Didi Gregorius has come and Judge is a monster.

Obviously pleased that the Astros won. It sounds like the city can do with some good news.

Anyone have any interest in this year's post-Season?
-
• #41
I did until the other day, fucking Yankees
-
• #42
I'm so out of touch, I didn't realise the wildcard thing is only one game.
-

Well the Athletics were the surprise team of the 2nd half,
and,
as we all know; 'Billy Beane's shit doesn't work in the post-season'.
Do you 'Poscast'?
As a Red Sox fan, I'm waiting with trepidation for David Price to once again collapse.
Post-season; tick,
Yankees; tick.
(Strange that Price was so effective, in his rookie year for Tampa Bay, out of the bullpen, in the post-season against the .....
RedSox in 2009). -

The Wild card play off is relatively new, only since 2012.

Yes, I knew about the wild card thing, but had either forgotten or never knew that it's only one game. I suspect it may be the former.

Milwaukee?

Anyone got a prediction for the World Series? Given that the Sox were so dominant this year, my money would be on them or the Dodgers... would like to see the Indians do well as they have some ex Jays in their team.
-
• #48
Waking up to a 16-1 win is nice
-
• #49
Terry Francona's Indians checked out last night. Just not enough hitting, and Andrew Miller didn't have his stuff this post-season.

Opened the MLB AtBat app with trepidation this morning, but should have trusted Alex Cora's decisions.
Eovaldi (currently) looks like Dave Dombrowski's shrewdest mid-season pick-up.
Which C.C. Sabathia shows up tonight?
The re-modelled 'crafty lefty' or the over-the-hill ex-dominant flamethrower?
Would've put my money on the Dodgers this year for sure but the Astros have surprised me... all comes down to tonight's game!!!!
