Get a cat.

Girlfriend is allergic.....

It's behind kitchen cupboards in our rented flat

New girlfriend?
But seriously, a cat is by far the best method. All the other ways like traps and poisons are hit and miss, cats are pretty much 100% effective.

• #93906
Haha might have to. New girlfriend and a cat. Win, win
-
• #93907
Good to know, ta. Still swithering between cheap new or second hand/possibly crusty vintage for my gloriously impractical Columbus Air TT commuter...
-
• #93908
and no mice, win, win ,win!

Read this thread;

But essentially, you need to stop them getting in, remove their food source and kill the little bastards that have made it in.
-
• #93911
Some cats are soppy bastards who are to lazy to catch a meal when they get them provided for free twice a day.
-
• #93912
This is true, but more often than not cats are happy to kill for play regardless of how much they've eaten.

Girlfriend is allergic.....
Snake?

Girlfriend is allergic.....
Hornet?

@mdcc_tester @Constable_Savage hahah. Brilliant. Going to go the hornet route.
@andyp Problem is we live in an old flat with 15 other houses in it.I will move this over to the mouse thread though. Thanks for input all!

Don't know but your answer is probably here.

Generally, how often should I top up air pressure in a bike tire? It's a 29er mtb tire. Mainly used for local commute.

Blimey.

Butyl tubes? Every 3 weeksish. Or just do it when they feel too soft.
-
• #93921
Thanks. Am getting more flats where the tube slides inside the tire and so splits where the valve joins in.
-
• #93922
Not sure why the tube would slide inside the tyre unless the tyre itself were slipping round the rim and taking the tube with it. The usual solution is to dust the tube with talc before installation, which reduces adhesion between the tyre and tube.
Also make sure that the tyre bead seats properly next to the valve. Sometimes you need to push the valve in slightly to make sure the bead doesn't catch it.
-
• #93923
They do that when ridden really under inflated.
-
• #93924
Go tubeless, obviously.
-
• #93925
Maybe the tire is slipping. I hadn't thought of that.
Find out how they're getting in and block the hole with wire wool
