others online (~£30-35 per year) - Xbox live gold (actually called games with gold) - 4 free games you get every month as part of your xbox live subscription (£free as long as you keep up your subscription)
- Xbox game pass - like netflix but for games. A constantly refreshing list of 100s of games that you can download and play for free as long as you keep up the subscription (~£8 per month)
- Xbox live - the online service that allows you to play games with
RDR 2 isn't on games pass or games with gold (the subscription thing which gives you free games) so you have to buy it.
Once you've bought it, you can play the offline single-player game for eternity at no additional charge.
If you want to play any game online for xbox / playstation / switch with friends (except Fortnite i think) you have to have their online service subscription.
Xbox live is around £30-35 per year.
