Shouldn't cause the chain to leave the ring unless he's pedalling backwards.

hmmmm

Ok, that's my "road crank wrong chainline" theory busted.
Is the chain worn?

• #93882
No...500 miles old

Bent chainring or dodgy link in chain?
-
• #93887
Hmmm bent chain ring - I'll investigate.
Chain length looks approriate yeah? (obvs a bit hard to tell as it's in a middle cassette ring) -

Check your B screw isn't further out than it needs to be. Check for a dodgy link, when I was setting up my 1x cross bike it kept dropping the chain because the quick link wasn't fully snapped in to place.

OK cool thanks

I threw my chain off over a cattle-grid over the weekend.
XTR Di2 clutched mech, Wolfs Tooth chainring, still came straight off.

• #93891
your chain's too long

noted.

Not you, Dammit. I can't tell about yours from the photo. I'd err on the side of shortness when running 1x. Put it in the biggest sprocket and see if there's any slack you could take out of it.

OK - i don't think there is but I'll give it a go. Cheers.

It could probably lose a link. Does depend where you were on the cassette when you hit the cattle grid though, if you're in the smaller sprockets you've got to be a bit more careful with bumps.

What happened to the man's not hot video which popped the lyrics out as funny images/text? RIP :(

With small chain rings like that you get limited chain wrap making it easier to unhitch the chain. Get clutch mech.

Best way to get rid of mice?
I've gone for old school traps, but I've known mice to be crafty, or should that be KRAFTY, and get the cheese without them going off.
What cranks and is the hub 130mm or 135mm?
