I didn't take any public transport other than the bus to and from the airport, which was very efficient. I stayed between the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark (very pleasant), which is a pricey area, but completely walkable to the centre (but then I like walking).

Will Cyclelab and Juice Bar serve me a juice if I rock up about 17:30?
The answer to this is yes, they very much will. Nice to see Kriz and Dimi too.

How can I get a laser cutter to etch a pattern only inside a specified shape?
I can make a hexagon dxf from Fusion360 and pattern it in RDWorks, but how do I then layer it with another DXF (in this example a triangle) so that the pattern is only etched within. Plan would then be to laser cut out the triangle. I could get the pattern to repeat outside of the shape boundaries but thats just a waste of material and lasery goodness.

Did you ask the former if he's racing cross this season?
-
• #93857
He asked me! I think we are both out. It's all about riding around in the woods these days.

Ride to sa calobra early. Once the tourist buses start going down the hill it takes all the joy out of the descent. Iirc buses can’t start going down until something like 11am. @danstuff knows more

Just done this myself, try using Shiply for delivery quotes (man with a van to actual freight carriers.)
I ended up packing all my stuff including desktop/printer/bikes/ onto a pallet and shipping it all, doing cross-border one way van hire isn't an option and fuck doing a round trip. I paid 200£ odds for a full pallet with P4D, not really the best for fragile items but with pallets it's not like they are getting flung about in the same way as boxes do.
If you absolutely have to drive you'd be better hiring in the uk and collecting then driving back, but you need to get permission from the car hire company and tell them exactly which countries you're going to and pay additional insurance etc.

You can pattern the hexagons in F360 and pick only the ones which lie within the bounding triangle. Any circular or rectangular sketch or model pattern has tick boxes by all the instances, you just untick the ones you don't want.

Hi !
I have a question/need of some help:
Is there anyone in Egham who could help my sister to fix her bike ? We're from Paris, and she's studying in Egham. She's a beginner in fixedgear riding and i offered her one so she brought it to Egham. But now, she thinks that her front wheel is flat, and she doesn't know how to change it or if there's any shops in Egham...
Could anyone help me/her ? :)Thanks a lot, Louis

When I was last in Amsterdam I stayed out near the hospital and Olympic stadium on a houseboat. It's a fair way from the centre but I walked in and got the tram back. The tram's convenient and goes everywhere although it's a little hard to work out compared to the tube in London. Anywhere inside the A10 motorway should be easy enough to get about though.

You were right about the buses, we got stuck behind on the way down and they were stopping for photos and stuff. And they pass you quite closely on the way up. And the town was absolutely full of OAPs. Never mind, still "enjoyable"
We couldn't have got there before 11 though, it would have required a very early start and we got stopped several times for quite a while due to some race anyway. Never mind!

Had a mission getting a bathroom ceiling led bulb out. Ended up having to pull the fitting out.
It might be the smokers who used to live here.
Would a little smer of regular grease be OK on the fixing be safe?

Changed my jockey wheels last night, rode to work today and things were a bit clunky. On the way home things went out of index at the rear derailleur and I gave a few tweaks on the barrel adjuster to get home. Is this to be expected or have I gone wrong in the installation?

No answer to my question ? :)
Anybody close from Egham ?

Google it. Finding a bike shop and fixing a flat aren't tough

Egham a bit far out (for me anyway) :). I’m sure there are some competent bike shops in the area!

Silly chainline question. My chain is coming off quite regularly - ends up sitting on the crank arm when i move into the higher gears.
If it was a ST BB then I would just buy a wider BB.
i'm running 1x10 shimano.
I'm reluctant to fit a front mech.
What do you do in this situation with this kind of BB? Spacers? Magnets?
I think this is a silly question but one I can't answer...

Yes
Yes I think so!
I've used color-hex.com to find nice palettes. I think they're user submitted.
