Never played the first game, any insight on what the shooting mechanic is like? Just press a button and things go bang I guess? Would be good to see something more in depth, even akin to the Gears of War speed-reload system. Dual wielding is tricky, I want it to feel tricky.

What with this and Forza horizon 4 I have never felt so compelled to buy an xbox one x.

I thought the shooting mechanics were pretty good actually. Theres a button to auto lock and you have a limited amount (admitted way OP) of dead eye meter that allows you to go into slow motion and tag enemies who are then all destroyed in real time.

It slows the game down instead of pausing it completely.

Is there any way to make a naval power work in Civ VI? Can you play as one, or is it futile compared to doing it old skool, just leaving the seas be.

Looks pretty good. Might get a pair whenever I get some invoices paid. Assuming I'm not banned. Did some teamkilling on three Russian tools the other day and coincidentally haven't played since (been traveling). They were blyating and shouting at me and one shot at my feet which was enough for me. Also hitman is on game pass, I've downloaded that and would quite like to give it a whirl at some point over the weekend.

My Xbox One time so far has been spent catching up with Halo and COD Modern Warfare IV multiplayer. I should probably move onto some actual Xbox One games.

I came here just to post that I'm getting a bit bored of Forza already. Feels like I'm box-ticking for the sake of completeness after less than a week.

Find the structure of the game really quite banal. The voice overs constantly talk about 'getting through to the next round' and even elimination, but that bears no resemblance at all to the way the game works. Odd.

The races themselves have very little variety. Almost always same duration (whether laps or point-to-point). Same number of opponents. Same starting position. Would've like to see some time-trial events, especially longer ones.

The way it looks still amazes me, and the driving is always fun. It's also autumn soon, so I can do all the same stuff but with a slightly browner hue.

The most worrying thing about the above is that I'm reading good stuff about new Assassin's Creed, and know what a massive time sink that would turn out to be.

I'm considering AC:Odyssey as I loved Origins but I've already pre-ordered RDR2 so hoping FH4 can hold me until the end of the month.

I'll pick up Odyssey when it's on sale.

It's very forza'y I guess they can only make a racing game different by so much!

I find rather than absolutely hammering it it's good to play for a bit and then play something else.

Have you guys got a lorry yet on forza? Are they are fun as they sound? My plan tonight is to get an old landy and take it off roading...

Wow what a rollercoaster of events! That's the reason I love the worlds that Rockstar create.

It helps he's an excellent writer but it has me super excited for just tooling around in the world.

At this rate, it'll be 20 hours+ before I do the first non-mandatory story mission.

anyone got any ideas which is the better / best value version of RDR2 to buy ?
