I have sealskins. Ok-ish in moderate rain, useless in really wet roads.
Second pair of shoes is a decent solution, unless you have several days of rain. Then you'll have two pairs of wet shoes.
@alialias I used longboards on the GT, closest I've been to winter happiness is longboards + winter boots.
