  • Camera is great fun, I can't wait to take it surfing over the winter.

  • Wanna sell me your t4 if you’re bored of it? I’m half serious, but we all know how much they go for on fleabay.

  • Thank you, an actual response.

  • Haha how much you willing to pay?

  • Have you shit on it before, how is the lens?

  • T2 / Tri-X 400

  • Like this a lot, great light & tones.

  • The thing is... any lens will be smeary if you shit on it. Maybe try not to shit on it?

The L35AF is pretty good. Quite a strong vignette sometimes ... but sharp. I really like them. Manual iso (up to 1000), an ok viewfinder and an option to rewind the film with the leader out are personal highlights :)

And all cameras should have strap eyeslets on the side.

  • And how is the AF ? Because you can put a filter on it, this is a really good point for me.

  • Af is ok, there is a guide inside that effectively lets you know if it’s missing focus (a cool feature I think). Yes it takes filters and hoods (I forget the size off the top of my head but mine were not hard to find).

  • £40. Can’t really afford any more.

  • ^ seems fair

  • First one is magic. Any idea what shutter speed?

  • Think it does this automatically and suggests people. Using a different email seemed to help. Although once you have a couple of friends following you, it triangulates for the rest. Or something. Doesn't matter what contact info you have in there.

@Jess|e can't you just block randoms that have followed you, if you want it to be more of a personal thing?

I like Instagram but the non-chronological thing really fucks me off. Also would be nice to be able to set view filters.

Oh and never viewing the explore/suggested page.

  • Yeah it was 4 seconds.

  • Some excellent shots in here recently.

  • +1 for the Nikon L35AF

I exclusively use mine with bw film, a yellow filter and the flashy hood like on jch. AF is good, get's a few misses but that's mostly user error I think. It has a plasticy feel, but sturdy and remarkably larger in the hands than my mjuII.

The manual iso setting dial is a bit faff with the filter installed, which needs to be unscrewed if you have to change it. I actually loctited mine to the hood so you get more levarage. Plan is to get more filters and hoods, they were pretty cheap on the aliex. Other negative of the hood is that you see the edge through the viewfinder.

  • Actually I guess we should stop recommending that camera or else prices will skyrocket like they do for the Mju-II..

    : /

  • I'm just glad hipsters haven't moved onto auto-focus SLRs yet

  • Any day now ;-)

I spent a weekend with Falmouth Photo students ... many are shooting early Eos and weird plastic brick Nikon N things, bleeping Minolta monstrosities etc. Every shoot starts with 30mins of finding and testing batteries.
