No doubt. And I welcome opposing views, debate is healthy, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But when their opinion is racist, sexist or in other ways discriminatory, it is most certainly not welcome and should be called out.
I shop where I shop because to my knowledge, they don't hold opposing views to me on these topics. If I find out that they do, I sure as hell would take my money elsewhere.Don't take what I said in a conversation about very clear topics, to be vague and applicable to your point. We're not talking about not doing business because we have different favourite colours. You know what I meant.

I try to see the best in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. I'm sorry if that seemed like I was apologising for racist or sexist behaviour - I wasn't aware of the breadth or depth of Thom's views. I've seen enough now to know these do not align with mine. I boycott a number of brands and individual's that are no better or worse than this. I feel like an idiot for allowing myself to let my guard down because of connections through a sport we all love and often wrongly assume that everyone is on the same page because of.

No i have better things to be getting on with. Just trying to clarify that the relationship with Thom is not based on political agreement but on that he's a friend of mine and many other very decent trusted people who judge someone on their behaviour whilst in our company. FYI no free socks have been received, although Thom may have been sent a pair by us that we got made again, to fund the team.

Very true, it's wasted. But just trying to make sure that the team we've worked very hard to build isnt suddenly brand some racist, alt right team. If anyone has any problems with what we do I suggest you come and chat in person at a race in the future or arrange a social pint somewhere.

You're lovely and I was just thinking exactly the same thing.
It's not in the moments of public necessity that people show their true colours, it's those times when they are bored and on their own and Twitter seems to provide a willing platform of dullard listeners for the rantings and ravings of narcissists, racists and generally unlikeable sorts of people that can't find an audience in real life.
