Um'd and ahh'd about tyre choice and then caught these Smart Sam's on PX for cheap so decision was made. Admittedly a bit over the top for the school run / commute but i do have the option of a former railway track / trail and a field to cross if I fancy also maybe a-bit helpful if we get another snowy winter - 700x40c hoping I can squeeze them in under some 53 Bleumels. Couldn't resist the typography and stupidly minimal WTB grips for 5 quids. First Nitto purchase for me too and very excited about the bars.
