I'm not really interested in acting as a Vanessa Feltz for confused racists tbh.
It's a cycling forum. Not publicly funded, not a journalism platform.
You have chosen to insert yourself into this thread as an arbiter because you have some kind of personal allegiance to him, I suggest you take the task of spelling out the shortcomings of his political views instead of placing that duty on us as some kind of proxy.
If I stopped to try and minister to every nasty blinkered cunt in the street in this country I doubt I would get much done with my day and precious little thanks for it. You pal clearly values his time more than engaging with anyone here in any sincere way so again, don't put your social burdens on us when it's you that's chosen to take it on in the first place.

You didn't really answer the question.
Secondly, that's your opinion. You seem to think you're speaking for a whole forum when you say 'us'. Hundreds of thousands (?) of people. I know many people personally in this thread and I think they are probably, like me, trying to understand the why, who, what, where without all the keyboard warrior aggression hence me simply trying to have a conversation in a civil way.
So what's your solution then? In my experience hate only breeds hate. How do you facilitate change without understanding why someone has the views that they have? This is why we live in a divided country at the moment. "I'm right. You're wrong. I'm clever. You're dumb. I'm good. You're bad." doesn't do anything to move us forward.
