So the basis for this project is a Marin Stinson. My dad bought it in 1994 and commuted on it for many years, my brother had it for a bit a few years back and left it locked up on Exmouth market where it was driven into by a road sweeper. It survived but the natty colour matching stem/bar combo was bent tf. It languished in the back of my office for a while until two years ago when I moved out to the burbs and needed something functional to ferry kids to nursery etc. Being skint on account of the house move I threw some Clark’s v brakes, a basic hybrid wheel set and some marathons on it - strapped on the kiddie seat and off we went. Two years later it’s high time for a reboot. Parts have been ordered...bullmooses were first to arrive...
