Agreed, it seems like the worst possible scenario, it is supposedly backed up with sources but for yourselves to decide.

What the fuck is he on about
Secret secrets.
-
• #13979
Hang on, now they're not secret any more.
-
• #13980
Can somebody please make them secret again? I don't want to know them.
-
• #13981
Brexit, I think it's Brexit. :P

I'm not entirely convinced this is what the Tories actually want as it looks like an absolute cluster but it's an interesting theory.
Some of them definitely do. Most don't.
All the Tories want is to stay in power. The idea that there is concensus on anything else in that party right now is "for the birds".
They can't even work out if they're in favour of free markets anymore.

How will they get the no deal bit past parliament?
By running down the clock, I suspect - if parliament send May back to re-negotiate at the end of Jan there's not enough time to ratify anything she gets.
What is needed is a way for Parliament to issue an A50 retraction, and I don't believe that mechanism exists.
We leave by automatic operation of law on the 29th, no matter what we've arranged (or not) in the meantime.

Looks like there working on that.

supposedly backed up with sources
The word 'supposedly' being the key word here. Claims it's all verifiable by OSINT, doesn't bother citing sources. Colour me sceptical.

Agreed, taken with a pinch of whatever, but as they say, prepare for the worst, hope for the best, although I have no idea how to prepare for what is being predicted here!

Tinned food, bottled water, strong door - all strike me as sensible precautions.

• #13988
Away to read World War Z again, this time I'm taking notes!

They were expelled last week, ahead of the conference.

• #13993
Looks like the suggestion that the Tories were trying to see if the DUP would soften their stance was correct.
-
• #13994
A little spin from Richard Corbett there maybe. Seems to be in relation to this

Which does suggest the question of whether they’ve ever met the DUP
-
• #13996
I've got that on the Tivo at the moment. Should I watch it?
High-powered rifles or shotguns? I know, both, for long and short-range defence.
When do we start building the M25 wall?

Belfast next year: Mad Max with rain instead of deserts ;)
[joking aside, this could get really serious down here]
-
• #13998
You need to read World War Z for tips on how to survive the Brexit Apocolypse, the movie is too far from the book, but watch Children of Men and V for Vendetta for documentaries on what life will be like in a no deal britain :P
If I had to choose, I'd go rifled shotgun for defence and hunting in Richmond Park, but I suppose guns are like bikes, N+1!
I would start building that wall now!
-
• #13999
Hmm, I've only really trained for normal Mad Max scenarios. I'm not sure how my leather will cope with the damp.

I'm going to start stock-piling bricks from building sites. Anything else I should be stealing? Maybe slowly emptying the office fridges of any long-lasting food supplies...
Who am I kidding, I'm going to be heading back to sunny Australia to sit back and watch you lot feed on each other. :)
Do they have to? Won't they just blame it on the EU? I'm not entirely convinced this is what the Tories actually want as it looks like an absolute cluster but it's an interesting theory.
