Which bike? I thought I saw a little port for stealth routing on your bike the other day.

After my mega off the other day, and the fact that I have an odd shaped head, I felt I needed to get a lid that didn't make me feel like I was special needs. After a fair bit of research, I ended up getting the cheapest, which also fits like a head glove! It's one of the Planet X 'croix', and was only a tenner.....ill post a picture later.

You mean this little thing? Does that mean it can be internally routed?

Looks to be in the right place. Pop the grommet out, and see if some cable housing will fit in there.
-

Housing went all the way in. Should I get this one https://www.ubyk.co.uk/oneup-components-dropper-post-custom/75309 ?

lol, don't ask me. I have zero experience of owning a dropper.
Maybe ask one of the converted ;-)
-
• #12233
I sincerely believe droppers are the 'marketing people's ' best work to date.......I want less clutter on my bikes, rather than more.....
-
• #12234
less clutter < getting rad
-
• #12235
I want to try one to form my own opinion on them. But they do seem to be overcomplicated and heavy for what they do.
-
• #12236
I use a dropper on my Enduro and 29er.
Stuff clutter they are the future!
-
• #12237
Give one a go. Dropping your seat really does give you a lot more confidence on steep & techy trails.
-
• #12238
There's a good reason I have a remote dropper on a single speed rigid mtb. It's basically the only mountain bike innovation that actively makes all riding more fun

I still think they're a bit 'emperor's new clothes'....but then again, I pretty much exclusively ride XC.....
-

Says the man who's bought into plus tyres ;)
-
• #12241
Ah, but 29+ works a treat.....27.5+ on the other hand.......!

Lelz

I can also recommend brakes
-
• #12244
Those are hardly innovative :p
-
• #12245
I'm still catching up....
-
• #12246
Tell me again of these 'pneumatic' tyres
-
• #12247
Nah....you don't want none of that so called 'air' in your tyres...
-
• #12248
I don't use air. Just fill them with Stan's
-
• #12249
😀 snake oil, that stuff.....!

Went with brand x 170mm. It was the cheapest I could find.
Bit short for that kind of money. Buy a OneUp
