  • General turbo questions:

    1. When set up I feel very much as though there is a dead spot when I'm pedalling in terms of resistance from the unit. Could this be indicative of poor setup or just highlighting my below average technique? I'm comparing this to riding on rollers so possibly apples and oranges
    2. How necessary is a turbo tyre or different wheel? How much tyre eating could one expect just using the normal road setup?

    I wouldn't use race tyres for more than a warmup but if you're like me and generally roll around on pretty durable tyres anyway then there's not much harm using them on the turbo.
