  • no thanks. dont have a use for a film camera. nowhere decent here to develop film. if anyone is interested in that one let me know i can sent the guy a message if its still available

  • Is this worth anything and would anyone here be interested in:

Pentax ME - last used 6 or 7 years ago. Seems to work atm in that the light meter works and shutter goes click at different speeds, couldn't guarantee beyond that.
Program nob has broken off meaning it's stuck in a mode where you have manual focus and aperture, but shutter speed is selected by the camera (shutter speed indicated through viewfinder) - it was like this when I bought it about 15 years ago.
Viewfinder has some marks, probably a dirty mirror or prism?
    +
    Asahi 50mm f1. 7
    Hanimex 28mm f2.8 (says macro 1:5 on it? )
    Centon 28mm-70mm zoom f3.4-4.8
Sigma 100mm-200mm zoom f4.5 (seems to have a slight rattle as if something is lose inside, but appears to work)
Missing half the lens caps, sigma comes in a hard case, Centon in its original box.
A couple of starlight filters for those romantic 80's streetlight shots.

  • Those Pentaxs will be around when we're all gone.

    macro 1:5

This is the max size of the of the object in the frame, so what ever you take will be 5x smaller in the frame than it will be in life. I suspect the Centon with have a shit ton of fringing though.

Those lenses should work with Pentax/Samsung DSLRs to some degree,

  • If anyone's interested I have this massive change bag going spare.

Very nicely made, big enough for a full frame camera.

It was originally property of harlech television (HTV)

There are a couple of tiny holes in the back which were obviously patched at some stage but I'm not aware that they let light in.. if you were concerned you could re-patch them

    £10?

  • Haven't seen one of those bastard things for years!

  • Wicked, I'm guessing you'll need postage! PM me with an address

  • I bought a 7artisans 25mm f1.8 as my first X mount lens but decided to just buy a Fuji lens instead. Anyone want it for £45 when it turns up? That's £7.99 less than the eBay price I paid and over £30 less than Amazon has them for. Otherwise I'll just return it.

  • If nobody has bought that lens off you, give it a chance. I have been really impressed with mine for the Sony so far.

  • Yeah it looks like that lens can do a few things really well!

  • Yea, really satisfied with it for taking photos of these bags and stuff. Gonna try it in London over the weekend too. In general, a great purchase even if the build quality isn’t Leica level.

  • Yeah, got it from the post office earlier. It's nice for the money... on the other hand - I've realised that for now, at this stage in my life, digital just isn't for me. Therefore..

If anyone is interested in an X Pro 1 / 7artisans 25mm 1.8 / Fuji XF 35mm 1.4, give me a shout. Total impulse purchases all around. Purchases were all pretty cheap, I think, so will pass on the saving plus a little bit extra off.

    X-Pro1 - Excellent condition - £200 (£120 cheaper than MPB)

Fuji XF 35mm 1.4 - 7/10 external condition, obvious signs of use but glass in perfect condition - £300 (£200 off retail and £20 less than I paid two days ago)

    7Artisans - £45. Brand new, with packaging. I paid £52.

The Fuji lens and body have three month warranties.

  • on the other hand - I've realised that for now, at this stage in my life, digital just isn't for me

  • ..applauding your decision! See you in the "non-digital" thread!

    : ]

  • Yeah, feel kinda stupid in hindsight. Lack of processing costs enticed me but I don't care for the photos and don't want to spend my life in Lightroom, so it doesn't matter.

MPB offered me £455 for them both. It's a £70 hit but a valuable lesson, so I'll probably just take that.

  • Or I may just exchange it for a Bronica ETRSi with loadsa lenses in my local camera shop.

  • Fancy buying my little 1/4 plate camera then? Comes with a fast Ross Xpres F/4,5 lens and even a 6x9 rollfilm back? ;)

  • do you have anything in 4x5?

  • Not a bad idea!

  • @pdlouche - na, sorry. Swapping for the Bronica is only a possible idea. Not sure if I'd rather have the cash at the moment. Will see what Ffordes and my local shop offer and go from there... Seeing as I am moving in less than two weeks, the cash probably makes the most sense!

Shot a few photos with my (film) Pentax this morning and it felt very wholesome indeed.

  • Have you seen these?
