Good nick but seems £100 overpriced compared to others I can find. Thoughts?

I fondly remember my R800
Not sure it’s the best winter bike - clearances are tight as hell and it’s stiffer than a very stiff thing

Could you get 25's on there? Might be too big but want one that colour.

I seem to remember 23s being close - I ran it with 20mm veloflex Record!

Oft that's tight (bike and clearances) what do you make of the price?
-
• #10482
Steep. I think it’ll be 23c max. They’re fast as fuck though. Just so stiff, really shifts when you push hard

Especially with death wheels and 55T chainring.....

Considering “starting price” is £350 - that’s poop!
I’d say it’d be worth a punt for £250 full bike - too many ifs buts and maybes of an alu frame that age on eBay, especially if it’s been used as a “winter bike”

Hippety hop!

I ran gator 25s on my sr400 for a winter. Minimal room for guards though

Cool. Thanks for all the input, there's a similar model on eBay for £210 so have offered that

Anyone tried 650b wheels on a CAAD12 Disc?
-
• #10489
Not enough clearance for the tyre size needed to put the BB in the right place - I'd imagine.
-
• #10490
The chainstays taper out after the tyre, there wouldn’t be any extra clearance. They’re near enough parallel
-

Yup, just checked. My setup with 28's on.

There’s a 60cm Capo on eBay at the mo for little money BIN

Is too big.
-
• #10494
Is there any way it could be an issue with the frame? Tolerances or whatever, I dunno.
slow respond but nope, it's not uncommon, but can be rectify by a decent mechanic.

• #10496
It is cool.

Collection in person from an island! Could go cheaply.

Problem with these is what do you do with them?
As a TT bike they are pretty useless. Aero as a brick.
Convert it to a road bike maybe? Will look kinda goofy and won't take modern wide wheels. Well, I'm not sure on that but there's a good chance it won't.
