My interpretation would be that some growth is assumed/forecast, e.g. 1%, and therefore "-7.7% relative to growth" means -6.7% in real terms.

You would report it like that because if growth was 8.7% and Brexit caused -7.7% then in sum you get 1% increase, so on the surface it would appear that Brexit didn't really do any damage, which obscures the fact that without Brexit we would have had an incredible year.

But that's 100% total guess/speculation.

I believe I have worked it out, the 7.7 is a negative applied to the forecast growth rate over a set period - 15 years in this case. It equates to (taking a forecast growth rate of 1.5%) a revised growth figure of 0.9%.

Another workwear question. I saw a chap earlier this week in a pair of black work trousers with all the pockets and stuff. What really caught my eye was a reflective beading/seams between the various panels on the leg which showed up a treat in the headlights. The nights and mornings are drawing in and I'd like to show up a bit more when I'm moving vehicles about. Anyone know a make or supplier for these strides?

I got some Workwear ones like that from Aldi for (iirc) £12 ages ago. Cordura. Metal zip just lost a tooth. Need to stitch in a new one.

The Raphaesque option is Snickers. I've worn pairs of them for years, the latest ones have a fair bit of the reflective seams, done very durably as well. Given I've worn pairs on site for 10 years and still wear them now I can vouch for their longterm value.

The art fairs I will be attending are all fairly central, map below, but it is not a must for me to stay exactly there if there are other areas of Paris that are nicer to hang out in.

Stay up by Sacre Coeur and you can get a nice view over the city, you are going to just jump on the metro anyway so easy to get around.

Or stay down the hill somewhere and be able to use the boris bikes to get around.

Depends what you want from it / if you know people there etc. 9th and 10th can be great - they're miles from most of the touristy spots but that's lovely imo. Canal Saint-Martin is a pretty solid bet for fun interesting food, galleries, shops, markets, nice walks along the canal etc. The 2nd is a bit fancier - the closer you get to the seine, the bigger and more ornate the architecture basically. All lovely though.

If all the fairs are in that area there's no need to use the metro. It's very walkable. Or bike hire etc. Prefer to walk if you're in no rush.

ps - I recommend this place to anyone who asks. Frankly even if they've got a gluten intolerance.

Anyone recommend or got ideas for somewhere for 20 people to stay for a few days - ideally some kind of working farm or wildlife reserve, maybe food production, maybe some other kind of production/manufacturing, maybe a working monastery or large estate. In November, and fairly cheap. Not camping. Seem to be lots of Italian farms you can holiday at and eat at, but only for a few people at a time. UK or Europe.
