I'm on the inverse. Shivering in summer kit, but at least my hands are warm.

I think the wasps know summer is nearly over, so they're being even more vindictive evil bastards than usual.
On the clobber topic, as an owner of mostly old woollen cycling jerseys, this is the first week in months I've been able to cycle around without feeling like I'm boiling alive, more of this please. So I'm still on one layer, shorts and fingerless gloves.

I have no fashion sense, you should know this.

Along the Avon river path in Bristol this morning, under the suspension bridge. Couple of other cyclists and a dog walker. Glorious, will repeat until it becomes a bog later in autumn.

I had an errand to run in Clifton and was really tempted to trot across the bridge, down Ashton court and back across town. Ran out of time - much disappointment ensued. Would have been lovely.

Is this the modified mountain bike/moped that was spotted a month or so back?

Cops not impressed.

I've seen that being ridden up and down Kingsland Rd, the guy who rides it gives no fucks, not going to cry about that being confiscated.

Random compliment from a parking warden on my old Cannondale.
Anybody else getting random people saying nice things when out and about cycling?
[maybe humans are not so bad, this mood will last until the next WTFery I shall encounter ;)]

Weird how all the replies are about motorised rickshaws when I don't think I've seen a single one. Is this the latest taxi drivers moaning point?

I don’t know but they are a menace. I think most of them must have some kind of power assist unless the operators are big ring heroes that never break a sweat or show exertion.

Chuffing lovely at about 7:45 this morning. There were really chilly spots if you dropped a few feet into a dip and little clumps of mist sitting on top of the grass in the parks. I love Autumn.

Yep, leccy motors & battery packs are easily concealed on those.

They don't have public carriage licenses or The Knowledge but can somehow still deliver tourists to the correct destination in the West End, thereby confusing and frustrating cab drivers.

Saw an American style ambulance on the outter circle this evening like this
Had lights and sirens going too I wonder if that's legal

There's a few around the country, some are actually in use.

Few private ambulance services, the kind that go to events and such.

I once got my flat broken into, they didn't take our bikes. The next day I walked out the front door to head to work with one of the bikes that had been in the flat in hand and some random bloke skulking around the road complimented me on it. Assume he was probably the robber.
I got bitten by something last week, and all my tattoos became raised. Very curious, but they went down as the bite did, so I've not really thought about it.
