And I don't think Miche and Michelin are related, Miche being Italian and Michelin being French, could be wrong though.

If it were just £ then they wouldn't give a tape at all - they are not obliged to. To give one that doesn't do the job invites bad image and negatively impacts on their sales [as in this thread]. The staggerd placement of the nipple clearance holes is the root cause of the problem. I tried wider rim tapes but they foul the tyre beads - if they get stuck under the bead then the tyre won't run true - if they get nudged by the tyre beads then back to square one with a clearance hole edge exposed.

No you are correct [my mistake]. Miche was founded by Ferdinando Michelin in 1919 [see https://www.miche.it/en/azienda & http://www.miche.it/en/azienda/chi-siamo ] and they originally traded under that name until the French Michelin company got upset and caused them to change their trading name.

Rim tape plus electrical tape was the only way I managed to avoid constant punctures. The rim tape always moved when siting a tyre otherwise.

how many rolls of electrical tape did you guys used? and how sticky that tape actually was? could you detail a bit what did you do with the electrical tape?

Less than a roll, just cover the spoke holes. Electrical tape isn't sticky.

I just measured from wall to wall and bought rim tape (Condor own brand) that fit snug and never had a problem.

Joined this site just to add my thoughts regarding this wheelset, which gave me and my friend constant issues...

They feel great when riding. But they always, always had a trick up their sleeve. "hiiiiisssss" as they mysteriously found a reason to ruin my day.

Rim tape was checked countless times. Retaped just in case.

Nothing sharp inside. Checked countless times.

Multiple tire types. Seemed to happen regardless of PSI being 100% of spec for tire, or 95%, or 90%...

Always happened, but at random times. An hour in, a day in, a week in. Always from left field.

I'm heavy. The friend I gave it to is light.

These things are haunted. We both examined the hell out of them and determined they're a lost cause.
