I had a Crane bell that worked quite well (until the bike it was on was stolen). It was only about £15. Is the Spur really that much better? Are there any decent bells that make a continuous "brrrrring" sound rather than just one tone?

The spur really is that much better! The tone is cleaner, louder and much longer than a ding ding! My knog OI is an embarrassing piece of crap compared, but it looks so neat on the roadie

My knog Oi's spring has twisted since I got it, meaning that it probably only rings true about 50% of the time - it's got a really nice sustain to it though, and does look very neat. Probably go for the Spur copy next time.
