And, to answer my own question, someone on the Garmin Forums said that Garmin do out of warranty replacements for cheap(er) if you email them.
Did that and they've offered a replacement for £46.58 (inc P&P) which is a lot less than £72 for a new one from anywhere else. Just have to go through the RMA process to send back my broken one.
