It seems extremely stupid that there's no fine for leaving horse poo on the road/footpath when dog fouling attracts a fine.

IIRC Horse Poop contains very few real dangerous bacteria, whereas dog poop contains proper nasty stuff. Probably cause dogues eat meat and horses do not.

Yes, and it'd be impractical to carry a shovel on your horse rides, and it's a much less common occurance, etc. Cold comfort when you ride through it by accident...
