safety has to come first
If you actually believed that, you'd ride this:
Upright position for optimum vision and control
Disc brakes for consistent all-weather performance
Fat tyres to minimise the threat from poor road surfaces
Dynamo lights for visibility
Handy rack for carrying your first aid kitIf I have a criticism, it's the lack of a full-enclosure belt guard which would eliminate the trapping hazard, but you have at least to give credit for eliminating the chain ring, which is an absolute death trap as far as I'm concerned; who in their right mind would attach something which looks for all the world like a circular saw blade to their bicycle?
Whatever it is, I need it. On Sat I averaged 15 watts less than a friend who went 90 secs faster than me. Obviously I agree that safety has to come first.
