Syncros is just Scott's own-brand components, like Bontrager is for Trek. Good price for that bike though.

Yes a few pals have Scotts of varying levels and none have seemed in a mad rush to swap out the Syncros branded parts

Depending on the individual model, I think DT Swiss make some of the Syncros-branded hubs. Same for Giant IIRC.
