Missed out on CX league entry this year, so went to one of the local races with my camera instead.
Here's the full gallery of what I got (link to my site)
Interested to know what people think and to get some feedback - here are a couple that I was pleased with:

This one is my favourite by far:
It's very nicely composed with the tape and the trees framing the rider with strong leading lines. The rider's position is obviously interesting too, not to mention the blue shoe being another pleasing contrast which grabs the eye.
It's a great photo, in my opinion :)

Thanks! Are there any that you feel are weaker, or is there anything that stands out that I need to work on?

@jgadd I think it's a good set for the most part, but for me personally I much prefer the more artistic single-rider photos rather than the group ones.
A nicely framed racer making their way through the environment of a CX course is much more interesting to me from a visual standpoint than a shot of a mass start (full of people I don't know).
I suppose it's differentiating between artistic cycling photography and race reportage. Of course the best photographers can do both, but I suppose that requires a bit more of a creative 'risk' on the day.
That's just me though, and I'm barely more than a casual photographer, so take my opinion as just being that!

Thanks for that - I think you're right. I'm much more comfortable getting a personal shot of an isolated rider, but I felt that that sort of style was a bit 'dishonest' for a busy cycling race. There were a few things I wanted to get shots to communicate that I couldn't quite crack on the day, but I was much happier with the solo/double shots in the end.
I wasn't that bothered about 'reportage' to any greater extent than trying to get across a bit of a feel for the day and some personality for the people - that would definitely take a lot more skill and preparation than I had brought with me!
