  • Hahaha

  • I'm still up for that swap deal...

  • So, my sister in the US is about to pull the plug on an Ascent Breakaway frameset for me. They are clearing them out (would be an even better deal without Brexit)...according to a Ritchey rep when I was looking for one in the UK:

"The Ascent frame is getting an overhaul in the coming months, that’s
why you cannot find any around. Final details are still being worked
out, but it will go a bit more to full expedition rather than light
touring. I have no details yet, and I’m afraid you won’t see anything
new until much later 2018/early 2019. Tom has some ideas he wants to
play with before he confirms the final design."

Anyhow, knob question -- the thing that I'm not certain about is adventure touring geo vs road riding (I have the 49cm Road Logic). Do stack/reach work in the same way? Hive mind thoughts?

  • Don't take away my breakaway

For all 80s chocolate snack lovers.

  • Added a Syncros full carbon fork so P29 is now finished with the exception of an ikon for the rear. I'll hopefully be picking up a full sus xc bike soon once the final bit of saving is done. Looking at a scalpel or an epic.

  • very very nice

  • I finished and got out for the first time on my P650B a few days ago.

It's my first MTB so still there's some things I'll likely change around with fit. I've also got the Ritchey rigid carbon fork to go on too in the future.

  • Looks great. Nice detail with the red grips. Making some changes to the breakaway. New paint / sorting out rust and banishing cable stops

  • Interesting tidbit from over on a the velo-acier website:

blah blah .. offering a bike capable of taking 700x30c tyres with the Road Logic 2018, are Ritchey slowly making steps towards a Road Logic Disc in the near future? => Yes, I can tell you that Tom Ritchey and his team are working already on a Road Logic Disc.

  • Lacks a bit of red...

  • Thinking of selling my 57cm Swiss Cross, if anyone is interested? Looking for ~£1400

  • That's really good. Why are you selling this beaut?

  • Have you considered a set back post ?

  • Want to swap for a road logic?

  • Next year's Outback will be blue:

I saw bike24 sell a yellow frameset but I've only been able to find one built up:

  • The first was a bit of a flop / non-sensible geometry. Ask @amey

  • of course the headtubes are still stupidly short. of course.

  • Finally!

Got my hands on this. Just need to take some pics of my own now. It does have the rear brake cable guides on the underside, which I believe they later amended for a better flow/angle, but that's a very minor detail which I'm sure won't make a huge difference.

  • The Swiss Cross has had a bit of much needed TLC with a strip down and refurb. Also, new wheels (R45 matte jet to Easton R90 SL), new Kool Stop pads, new Fizik tape and Paul Moon Units.

It’ll also get new tires soon. Deliberating, but perhaps Compass Bon Jon Pass or Barlow Pass...

Looking forward to hitting some trails.

  • That’s lovely, what headset cap is that?

  • Thanks, man. NLTCBMBC ‘Hail Pizza’ headset cap!

  • My humble entry:
    Ritchey Titanium breakaway cross
Etap, with arc31 wheels and Voyager Hypers. Will replace with 35mm gravel tyres when Autumn/winter hits proper.
