Not available for the next couple of weeks #soddingparttimer

I would be all for an earlier start/finish.
The Grand Junction seemed a fine canalside venue, back in the Summer.
Guess they would not approve of us eating Kamil Bakery wares on their premises! -

Still waiting for the holiday tales.

Kamil Bakery
An excellent idea. The GJ would probably not notice if we were canalside. Weather may be a little exciting though!

I think there is a small park/public access/couple of seats on the other bank leading away from a car park for employees of the adjacent industrial estate.
Kamil shuts at 5pm. (Actually they were still baking at around 17.20 4/5/6 weeks ago). I can get there, collect pre-ordered comestibles and get to Grand Junction by 17.30-45 ish.
Better let @jdmitch know. -

You've caught the tramp food bug.
Apologies for absence. I've got a regular thing on Thursdays for now and probably won't be able to make it for the next two months or so. :(
-
• #25908
Afraid I could probably only be there 5:15 - 6:15, and I'd probably have to bail if it's rainy... will that work?

@Oliver Schick
Don't tell me: You've joined an Advent Circle and will be making Xmas decorations for all the Compass Beers!

It was meant to be a surprise!

It will be,
only about 8 people read this thread. -
• #25915
Apart from the lamb option I have no real idea what those will taste like, apart from tasty of course. I am happy to leave myself in your capable hands!

oh go on then ;) I have to get back to cook dinner for 6 guests, but they won't be coming until 8 or so, so I should be ok. can I have:
3 zaatar
2 lambThanks!
PS what was this about damsons? Can I have a few of them?
-
• #25920
'few',
Just for the family/guests to try =10?,
or,
for cooking, ie apple&damson crumble,
damson gin=20? -
• #25921
Sloes?
-
• #25922
sloes for sloe gin sounds good, and enough damsons for cooking would be great.
Thanks!
Edit: I can bring containers to take them home in -
• #25923
Foraging update;
Damsons at end of season, (at least on my manor), plucking ripe fruit from a branch bedoings the overripe/rotten adjacent fruit into the brambley undergrowth.
Harvest about 30-40% down on last year.Sloes: plentiful and very varied bush to bush.
@skydancer even if not drinking, care to collect a punnet?
-
• #25924
I'll take as many damsons and sloes as you can spare! Last year's gin is coming along nicely but best to get something in the pipeline or I'll drink it all...
Payment in beers and grateful thanks :) -

Leaving Kamil bakery in 3
Will be making a brief trip over for a swift beverage (if only because I can't afford to sleep 'til 11...) and some damson for the damsel.
What's the current venue of choice? I'm coming from NW10 so The Castle would work very nicely, or the Grand Junction if @jdmitch fancies an outing?
