I'm not sure really because that's the time when every brand did heavy experimenting with bike design/geometry and different materials. Thus a bike like that wasn't that much extraordinary I guess. Then again every road bike looked the same, steel tubing and regular triangle geo.
I really like the intuitive and experimental approach rather than expensive R&D, FEM, aero tunnels and stuff though.
This bike is perfect. A wild idea but let's try it out.
I love the idea of someone folding the sheet ti on a brake and welding it into tubes. One at a time.
