Maybe not all the way.. Mines a 25, if it were fresh, the rubber bits from the mould would definitely hit the seattube!

Thanks for the reply, but 20c is proper track tyre size and splitting the chain to take of the wheel is not track geometry.
-
• #4329
What's slamming the wheel going to do for you on the track?
-
• #4330
Hard to change cog/sprocket with a chain still on.
-
• #4331
I can take off the wheel without spliting the chain, just have to take it off the chainring first. It's tight, but not slammed tight. If I changed the sprocket for a 19t then it would definitely be slammed.

Soz track god.

Slammin', hope you like slammin' too

Back in the days slammed the stem all the way down!
Eight years later the steerer tube is still too short:

Similar issues on height, used Spesh Hover bars for a while (15mm rise) but wasn't a fan of the feel so splashed out on Aeroflys with 25mm rise, nice but a bit pricey.
-
• #4336
Well, my only woe with too short steerer tube is that I have to use a stem with positive rise - as I'm well over 40 and not as flexible as I used to be -and it looks aesthetically wrong to me. Then again, the aesthetics do not affect riding and my Vigorelli does not win any beauty contests anyway :D

oops, double post
-
• #4338
I wish they had made the headtube a bit longer on the new ones, doesn't look great and doesn't make sense for most riders...I get the slammage aspect but is aero really everything on a course as twisty as the Red Hooks?

Did u drill this? (brake) used to have a 58 vig. Wondered if mine. 😎
-
• #4340
Crits are fast, at speed aero is everything
-
• #4341
So why ride a chunky, round tubed frame then?
-
• #4342
Hmmm....if I remember correctly the 2009 fork came with a brake hole when I bought a frameset from probikekit uk.
-
• #4343
Ah. See. I thought that fork wasnt pre drilled. Still the best colourway cinelli ever made. 😎
-
• #4344
I'm just saying aero is a consideration in crits, how anyone approaches that is up to them

Bloody well love these new Mash frames - though I think you might need a new set of grips ;)
How do you find it compared to a Parallax or Vig? -
• #4347
TBF, that's stiffer and lighter than lots of spacer.

Crits are fast, at speed aero is everything
Crits being the keyword, especially in a brunch.

Now I'm hungry.

Anyone sell me the low stack headset cover please
Can you slam a flat 20c all the way to the seattube?
