Would be nice but other than the associated cost of new wheel and brake i want the option of running a rear brake for more relaxed riding. A friend is sorting me a pair of TRP's for a very good price so all good on the stopping front (loaner Tektro doubled in power when i changed pads to Swiss-stop).

Fair, although in total I think my conversion was £230. £50 for second hand Kinesis forks, and then £180 to have my rim rebuilt onto a Hope Pro4 and have an SLX set up fitted.
RE the rake etc, I wouldn’t worry too much as in my experience the longer rake of the carbon fork is offset by the weight loss so it still turns in plenty quick enough for me.
Sold the Steamroller now though :( was a great bike.
My recommendation would be to bite the bullet and go disc, makes such a difference!
