I know exactly which ones you mean.
From ALL challenges, most or all were 3 star on first try, but there were two that made my almost destroy my controller.
One of them was defusing 3 bombs - that was insanely hard, but after at least 60 retries, I did it.
The other that gave me hard time was one of the following drone I belive. But compared to the bomb defuse, it was nothing.

Killed a hundred enemies.
Took thirty minutes.
Am actually getting half decent at the combat in the game. Or it may be my stats are at such a level I can get away with stuff I couldn’t before.
AnywhY off to kill more creatures.. -

started it last night. the button locations seem all ass-backwards compared to every other hack n slash game so the learning curve is artificially much harder than it need be as I seem to do the opposite to every action I meant to when i get surrounded and my subconscious caveman brain takes over the button mashing.
fun so far though.

Sure you can reallocate buttons in the setting somewhere...
For those that are interested currently trying to kill my first Valkyrie In musphelheim. Fuck me its difficult!!!
Taking time out to make breakfast before I throw controller thru screen.. -

I don't have 4k (yet) and so cant make use of the upsampling/HDR but from what I understand the frame rates are much better, certainly cant imagine god of war having played so smoothly on the original

Valkyrie at the top of musphelheim is difficult as fuck, going to have a go with some of the easier ones (hopefully) in Midgard because I’m going to have to level up to get past her..

just got to that "your princess is in another castle" moment with the tree fella... god(ofwar)dammit
Before that did some exploring and was looking for a tomb to destroy a statue of thor on a sidequest and the boy says "Cool, I 've never seen a dragon before" while I was busy creating pottery shards for future archeologists, I go huh? and turn around thinking it was the tiny lizard that jumped me when I opened a chest. nope. there's a mountain sized dragon looking at me from about 200yds up the path. fuuuuuuuuck.
turned out to be pretty easy but probably my favourite quest so far. eventually I got back to the grave to fuck shit up but felt anti-climatic by then.

Lucky I've only put 1000 hours into PUBG instead. Could have been disastrous.

Just unlocked those "defuse ³ bombs in fuck all time" spidey-missions
3 starring those is gonna be a PITA.
Also, MJ controlling bits are dull and shit. -

Enjoy and enjoy.
More “stealth” missions to come.

I felt they were more a storytelling device than purposeful gameplay though, before I jumped into GoW I briefly started replaying The Last of Us and it's basically the same thing they did to add depth to the plot without feeling like you're watching an overly long cut scene. without them I think you'd realise just how similar the gameplay is across the whole game too. plus they're easy xp to get new moves which is where the bulk of the fun lays.

So, Mario Kart is now ruined. Or at least a Pepe game?

PlayStation Classic with 20 built-in games and two classic controllers incoming for 'just' £89.99 this Christmas. Not sure how well the games will scale on non-CRT tellies, but as someone that never PS1'd it'd be good if other games can be side-loaded.
Modern day gaming is fast becoming like living in an inverse-Borrowers world...

Holy moly.
EDIT - lets see the selection of games first.

Just signed up to Nintendo Switch Online, bit of a cheap move on their part if you ask me but then I guess everyone else has been doing it for years, right? The NES stuff is a nice touch, looking forward to them expanding this to include other systems... Probably at a premium...

Interesting piece by Keith Stuart in the guardian, about why games are so violent.
I’ve got a friend who enjoyed red dead redemption the most when he was just riding round on his horse, looking out at the sunsets/sunrises.
I’m a fan of puzzles in games, Prince of Persia, uncharted and I find the relentless hack and slash, cover/shoot gameplay a bit repetitive, and I’m usually trying to get through them as soon as possible to get to another puzzle.Hoping that red dead 2 has more interactions/puzzles/riding on horseback sections which don’t automatically mean you have to shoot someone. Should say I still haven’t finished the original..

I'll wait until they release a PS1 shape Raspberry Pi cover ;)

....i guess these new consoles are the reason ROM sites are getting clamped down on.
I'd love to see an all in one SEGA system that would play their entire catalog - including ARCADE!
hellyeah DAYTONA USA + SEGA RALLY :-) many a £1 coins spent on those! -

As much as I have fond memories of of the NES, I also have lots of memories of failing hard at Contra. The PS1 sounds much more comfy. Also I'd love to replay FF7 on a console again, its just not the same on PC.

I managed to quite unbalance my playthrough of RDR as early in the game I mainly rode from town to town playing poker and ended up with a silly amount of money. I did enjoy the riding around picking flowers for someone's wife who in the end turns out to have been dead for years bits of the game than the one man army parts
Congrats on your 99.7% completion.
If it were a ubisoft game you'd be excused the last 0.3% on account of it being a bug.
