If someone bought from us we would convert it and put the dynamo kit into stock, find a decent shop?
-
• #5030
I'll buy the dynamo wheel off you and swap you with a non-dynamo (silver) wheel?
-
• #5031
That’ll look mega on a brand new black edition.
-
• #5032
Only with dynamo, any non shit shop will take it off and charge no labour and reduce the rrp to - dynamo cost

Fixed, the loose bolts must have somehow ruined my the cateye mount. So I took it to the new Brompton Junction shop in London Town, and I must say I was thoroughly impressive with the shop and it’s mini workshop downstairs. They gave me a free light mount as a replacement and I brought the new model saddle cover bag for my Eurostar trip to Brussels and Amsterdam.

Worst paragraph I’ve read for a while. You drunk?

Apologies, long story short, the front mount issue has been fixed by a replacement from the friendly bunch of workers from Brompton Junction.

Weight added by the dynamo is negligible, so useful - don't remove it!

Go to a good dealer - search on Brompton.com, test ride demo models to decide handlebar. Type and gearing option, then work out your colour choice. Then talk to a member of staff to run you through the different options for tyres, saddle, grips, lighting, luggage etc.
It’s personal, it’s your bike and you have to ride it! The common m6 works, but many prefer an m3 or even a s or h bar, don’t be led, be guided!

Brixton Cycles or Compton Cycles in Catford would probably be your best options.
-
• #5044
yes, they work somewhat

Anyone fancy a Hubsmith hub? Got a spare!
-
• #5046
Have used them at work, aren't to bad just don't lose the plastic bit.

I have some MKS removable pedals, still in their box.
Exactly what function does the yellow plastic bit perform? -
• #5048
AIUI it positively stops the collar from moving to the 'release' position. There was someone on the CTC forums complaining that without them and using the MKS SPD-a-likes they could sometimes nudge the release and pull out the pedal instead of the shoe when trying to unclip...

My Brommy currently sports Ti Workshop pedals with similar mounts.
No Plasticky yellow is deployed.
No pedal has parted company with the crank in around 3 years of use. -

I've an old set of MKS Ezy pedals, and the more you use the quick release, the easier it gets to release the pedals. I'm guessing that you're fine without the clip, but for Health & Safety, they'd prefer you to use it.
Do all the 9 streets come with dynamo? No option to buy without?
