Leadout train for Ewan, and backup sprinter, probably a good fit.

I didn’t realise how bleak things are. Really sad times.

To be fair to Ewan, he's only started 3 GTs so far, 34 stages raced, and DNFed all 3, and won 2.
Can't win if you don't start.
Still plenty of time to get some wins, Cav is on 48 wins and 301 GT stages, with a clear period of domination, which I think is going to be pretty difficult at the moment, thought Viviani is having a bit of a resurgence. -

I’d argue he looks out of his depth so far at GT level, but that could be because he’s not getting the support he needs in the closing kilometres.

Tao's riding this softly-softly to become acclimatised to a GT, isn't he? I mean, being young and all that.
For the record he did some pretty big domestique turns at the front at least in the first few weeks and had some impressive race faces going on. He did attack on one stage too but dropped back later on.

I'm convinced Mas was created by Aardman Animations...
-

I think Mas is Aru, and that what we are told was Aru for the past year has just been a fan in an Aru costume.

So Valverde is doing the Giro and Vuelta and Quintana is doing the Tour next year. No word about Landa. And then there's Carapaz who did better than the 3 of them this year. Movistar will have to spend all winter planning just how they will fuck it up again.

Good interview with him on the Cycling Podcast's last Vuelta episode. Said he was unhappy with how he went.

Condor JLT ending as well
Announced today that JLT are being bought for $5.6 bn by Marsh and so not surprising that they did not commit to a renewal of a sponsorship agreement.

Anyone fancy an Aston Martin branded Storck?

Moscon wins Giro della Toscana, one week back from “suspension”. I’m glad, he’s only a poor misunderstood boy who really just loves his mammy and deserves a second chance.
-

Just realised it’s the nd race he’s won since being back, must have missed one.
-

Just be happy that Valverde now has a successor as the rider everyone loves to hate in the pro ranks. Hopefully he’ll grow a Dick Dastardly style moustache for next season.

Taking PEDs and being a smug prick about it is a bit different to unapologetic racial abuse and assault.
-

Cycling always needs (a) villain(s).
Moscon doesn’t seem particularly contrite so I think he’s stuck with this.
-
• #19396
aww just a cutsey villain who loves his mammy

Great racing at Eurometropole today!

It was an all action final 20 kms for sure. The way Mads Pedersen got across the gap alone was one helluva bit of riding. He's one hell of a talent, but we've known that on here since he beat @taogeogheganhart at the junior Paris-Roubaix.

Blazing time by Canyon Sram, also style points for colourful discs and matching aero socks!

... well done Canyon ... really went hard ... and Quickstep ... another cracking ride ....
really enjoyed a day of watching Team time Trials - weirdly ...
good day to clean and prep winter bikes with rain tipping it down outside and great first day of World Championships on the tele ... only ruined by Kirby ... but hats off to Quickstep and Canyon ... and especially the Barnes sisters ... Tops riding ....
Ewen clearly needs more support, he can win shitty little races at will but only has a handful of GT stage wins.
