Can't you just go straight to the MOT from the mates if its only a mile difference? You're only allowed to ride it without MOT if you're on your way to a prebooked MOT

No. He works, I work. So it will be closed. Although you've made me think maybe I should look for one open late.
Finding a time when we can both meet at the lockup is a struggle. Tying that in with a daytime seems impossible.
@skinny - cheers. I guess if it's booked in for the next day and something did happen I could probably talk my way out of it.

I'm a bit stuck working out how to get my bike out of my mate's lock up in the evening and then onto a mot in the morning.
What are the risks of riding it un-MOT'd at night ~1 mile to then ride to the MOT in the morning?
