I can't decide on new tyres. I used to have WTB Horizons and loved them but they were a tiny bit to wide I guess. I am currently thinking Resolutes but for my riding Byways in a little bit smaller would actually be perfect. Does this magical Tyre exist?

Yes, Grand Bois Hetres.

Nah not complete slicks. Like the Byways. With some knobbies on the side.

Any opinions on the Specialized Sawtooth?

Thanks, this looks super nice, and the price is right, but i'm just wondering, isn't it too narrow for 38ish tire?
I also found Ambrosio Keba, costs a bit more and doesn't have that classic look, but it's wider. -

Any reason why this would be a terrible idea? My kinesis has just over 2.0” clearance for 650b aka (52mm) and these come up as 47mm...
27.5 x1.8 version

There's also these €35 for a pair! https://www.sella-berolinum.de/shop-/felgen-und-zubehoer/3044/2-stck.-650b-/-27-5-/-584-ventura-felge-mit-bremsflanke-36-l-schwarz?c=241

Yeah, I've seen them, but black... unless you have quick and easy way to make them silver ;)

In case anyone is interested:
As an alternative to the Hunt Wheels (because they wouldn't arrive in time) I bought some Pro-Build Chosen Hub / Alex Volar Trail Wheels - 27.5" from Merlin now. They seem to do the job and are easily adaptable between a few QR and thru Axle standards. For a tyre I wanted something with more thread and knobs than a WTB Horizon, less than a resolute or other mountainbikey tyres and overall a little less wide than the Horizons because of clearance. I am going to try the Clement/Donnelly Strada USH which are heavily reduced on Planet X right now (£15 instead of £40) .

G-One in 40mm, and Byways come in 42mm.

Byways are 47mm (I use one on the rear of my bike)- Resolutes are 42mm unless they have brought a new version out?

Gravel king SK 650bx42c?
-
• #1940
Byways are 47mm not 42. Same for the Gravelkings. You can get the slicks in 42 but not the SK variant.

Yup you're right, mistook the 700x43c

I doubt you can. They're not on the WTB website

It looks like it. Probably not in the near future. I haven't seen them anywhere.

Gravel King is your best bet.

Thanks. I didn't know this slick version.
If you plan on building a simple wheelset and can get them cheaply, go for it, paired it with 105 hubs and you got yourself a solid wheels.
