  • Are there any known issues with the Lefties on Cannondal 900sx models from 2000?

Other than it being 18 years old and probably beyond economical repair, no :)

Unless it's the ELO type in which case you'd never be able to lock it out.

Just look out for more recent booted lefty replacements and swap it out.

  • Tx!

AFAIK it is working OK, but i'll triplecheck with the seller.

Can you still get seals and so on for such old Lefties or is it the "oh nooz my elastomer is gone" all over again? :)

  • ELO

    Jeff Lynne Signature Edition?

  • You’d probably have to order the seals from afar - Cannondale UK will not help you.

  • Dr Cannondale in Germany has a lot of stuff, I got my headshok tool from them.

  • If I wanted a 120mm travel Lefty would I be looking at £1,000+?

This is very definitely idle speculation btw.

  • Transition UK on eBay do clear out stuff for CSG. They sometimes have take-offs from new bikes for around the £400 mark.

Just check the travel, a-c, clamp spacing and offset are what you need. The 120mm for 29” will be pretty rare.

Then you’ll need a new hub and wheel build. And a new car bike rack :)

  • How can I have your career?

  • This is the one from the SE 1 (which we didn't get here):
Lefty 2.0 Alloy OPI, 2Spring, 120mm, PBR Isolated Damper Technology, 55mm offset

Is that the one to create a saved search for, or are there better units?

  • Yeah that’s the one but then the clamp spacing is frame size specific so you’d need to get lucky in that regard.

Apparently the 100mm version from the F-Si can be converted to 110mm without a damper change and the offset and everything else is the same.

What's wrong with the Fox fork?

  • Absolutely nothing as far as I can tell

  • All things considered the 34 is probably a better shock long term.

  • This, it's definitely one of the best mid-travel fork I've ridden and work on, a handful of forumenger used them in joy/anger.

  • Anyone interested in my black anodised Caad10 48cm frame?
Can come with hollowgram sl 170 cranks.

I did say it was idle speculation!

  • Done with this...

  • Need a hand installing my di2 battery in my seatpost all...

I've got a Shimano Di2 BT-DN110 battery and a Cannondale C2 seatpost with the silver insert at the bottom for di2 posts.

It's too snug to fit the shims over the top like some of the Shimano manuals seems to be saying I need to do. I've chucked the battery in anyway, and there's (predictably) no resistance for the wavey washer and C-clip part of the assembly...

    What am I doing wrong?!

  • Anyone got a supersix 2016 or later they want to sell me in a 58...

  • How's seat stay vibration on newer/newest caadx frames? I have this 2016 model with post mount hydros and it shakes and screams from the moment I just touch the break lever... :(

  • Mine did too until I replaced the shitty Avid rotors with Sram centrelines

  • Thanks, @TooTallTim

Mine are Shimano. Do you use 160 mm rotors?

  • 160 front, 140 rear... I think.
