What most didnt see was movistar working everyone over all day and not letting a break go , to their own detriment or maybe they will fuel up tonight and really attack tomorrow. Today was just a softening up.
Don’t think softening up would have involved Valverde coming in over a minute down.
Movistar do have the power to lay down the hurt, don’t think they expected Yates to bridge, and then force the pace himself in the finale.
The trouble is, their softening up today screwed up their own GC ambitions.
Tomorrow is such a hard stage that all bets are off, but both Quintana and Valverde looked knackered today.
