  • What most didnt see was movistar working everyone over all day and not letting a break go , to their own detriment or maybe they will fuel up tonight and really attack tomorrow. Today was just a softening up.

  • Don’t think softening up would have involved Valverde coming in over a minute down.

    Movistar do have the power to lay down the hurt, don’t think they expected Yates to bridge, and then force the pace himself in the finale.

  • The trouble is, their softening up today screwed up their own GC ambitions.

    Tomorrow is such a hard stage that all bets are off, but both Quintana and Valverde looked knackered today.
