Since it's a 40th for my wife I'm less concerned over cost, more about quality.
I did think the grain in the brushed lugs was a bit coarse but the case hadn't been over polished and the fluted bezel was good.
I might go back in and ask to see inside the case.
For reference I can buy a very similar watch on chrono24 for a good $3000 less but that has an element of risk and I don't like gambling.
3K US or Aus is quite a saving, especially as there isn’t a bracelet. How much time have you got before her birthday?
