Say you're taking a photograph of a cylinder, the parts of the cylinder where the surface is approx perpendicular to the image plane will occupy less pixels than the part of the cylinder which is facing the lens (surface parallel to the lens).
Does anyone have a resource which might help me in quantifying this effect? I'm trying to capture a cylindrical object with 3 cameras at 120 degrees from each other. I want to know how bad the coverage will be between cameras. Thanks! -

Just found this thread so thought I'd contribute. Went back to Wales a couple of weekends ago and headed up the Beacons for a wander. Shot with X-T10 and 58mm Helios 44m4 or my Samyang 12mm.
