If the tyre is totally fucked then I'm bang out of luck, but I also have in the car:
I might put the spare wheel back in if I'm going somewhere in Europe where a 285/30/18 Michelin would be like hens teeth, but in the UK most places can get one in 24 hours/I can get the car recovered to wherever I want to go and get a mobile fitter out.
