I think it’s just that the e3 pro 2 has an on/off button (which I just found out doesn’t turn the stand light off if you’ve been riding and then stop)

Pretty damn close. The Pro 2 has an on and off switch, which can be nice if you want to turn off and use a usb charger off of your dynamo during the day.
