• Well its only a 70's Bravington automatic that i picked up for literally peanuts, so I'm not that fussed about it. but equally i'm not going to buy another watch until this one breaks, so if the best way to get use out of it is to put an ugly strap on it then I will. tbh its just a tool for me.
    Maybe I should be in the functional watch thread!

  • That’s fair enough, coincidentally I also wore a Bravingtons for years in the workshop, eventually died but not before I accidentally etch-primed it. #watchcrimes

  • I'd say that was exactly the same as the one I have, but mine is gold.
    I bought a bunch of automatic watches from ebay about 10 years ago for a fiver each, and I've been working my way through them (usually end up getting the front smashed in somehow).

    This is the last one, i already dropped it when a previous strap broke and the movement partly came through the face, but my local watch guy (who said he did his training on the same swiss movements) said that it would last a while yet.
