• Hi everyone,
Trying to clear some frames that are not being used.
Prices don't include postage, I can post at cost, juts need to sort out a box.
Can be picked up from Welshpool/Shrewsbury area.
Will upload pics as my slow computer lets me.
    1) Orbit touring.
    Reynolds 531 frame and forks.
Endless amount of braze ons for mudguards, front and rear rack, 3rd bottle bosses under downtube.
Lots of marks, scratches but no dents or dings I could find.
For 700c wheels. Tried a 700cx43 on the forks and won't clear so max 40c I would say, haven't check rear but will do if needed.
Stronglight A9 headset that feels good.
Don't be fooled by the dropped top tube, it's bigger than it looks.
    54cm ctc top tube
    51.5cm ctt of seat tube
    50cm ctc of top tube
    180mm headtube
122 rear spacing, tried a 126mm fine might even take a 130mm but haven't tried.
    £90
    2) Unknown Belgian/French.
    Chromed Campagnolo dropouts/fork ends.
    Ishiwata 022 tubing.
Again, scratches and marks but no dents or dings.
Nice stays details, cutout lugs, water bottle braze on.
    Mudguard eyelets.
Converted this into to 650B (pic attached for reference).
No name headset, not perfect but works.
Included is a low mileage, expensive for what it is Velo Orange sealed bottom bracket, Kalloy/System EX seatpost and a 80mm, 26mm clamp Genetic 1"stem. I've finely sanded down the non visible part of the quill to 22m to fit the french steering tube.
Dropout adjusters are not seized just 1 is slightly off.
    55cm ectc top tube.
    51.5cm ctt of seat tube.
    50cm ctc of top tube
122mm spacing, been running 126mm wheel no problem.
    £120
    3)Unknown Nervex lugs.
J Parson bodge painting on downtube.
    Possibly Reynolds 531.
No dents or dings but tatty paint job.
Braze on for downtube shifter on drive side, cable stop brazed on on non drive side, possibly for bar end shifter?
    Dropouts look like Campagnolo.
No frame number I could find, maybe something under the thick paint. Nothing on steerer tube, could this have been replaced?
    58cm ctc top tube
    59cm ctt seat tube
    57.5cm ctc top tube
112mm spacing, will easily take 120mm.
    £40

  • Take £100 posted for the orbit? If so drop me a PM.

  • Methinks the red one has Zeus ends.
The teardrop shape in the casting around the mech bolt hole is the clue.
    I'll get my anorak......

  • Definitely a teardrop shape there, didn't noticed that, thanks.
Will have a look tomorrow is there is any wording still visible.

  • No Zeus stamp I could see but found a frame number.

  • How's the threading on the bottom bracket? Any way you can check if it is British thread?
Edit: I'm talking about the nervex one.

  • Just registering my interest in the Orbit frameset, how much it (within the UK)?

  • Hi, yes, I can confirm it has got British threads, as well as the Orbit.
The other one is the only French threaded.

  • I would guess £15 via Parcel Force 48h for a frameset. Cheers

  • Does the nervex have iso threading on the headset also?

  • I’ll double check and will get back to you on that.

  • I am pretty much sure is JIS.
I've tried a 27mm crown race on the forks and almost went in all the way hand tight, the 26.4mm I have, not so much.
Also the majority of British frames pre 1980's were JIS, so it does make sense.
