  • I love the double crown of nature boy. It looks longer than 400mm, right?

  • i have a custom fork made by orlowski for my pompino and it's 380mm , i always had problem with the seat tube being to slack with a 400mm fork. with the 380 the bike handle muche better for me and the builder said there is space for 40mm tyre.

  • Do you have a picture?

  • thanks

  • great bike, earlier someone posted here pompino with omnium cxc fork and afair they are 380 a-c too

  • Yes the cxc seem a good option if you have disc brake. i never had the original fork because i think it's incredibly ugly

  • If you will go to 400mm aren’t there a few stick forks that’d be cheaper?

  • aren’t there a few stick forks that’d be cheaper?

    too flexy ;)

  • It's 395, ifbi remember the spec sheet - check the all city website - so it's bang on.

Might be discontinued but they definitely do the same fork for a different frame that you can still get

  • Fair. Personally I'd go for a shorter stem, but hey even with a slightly shorter fork it'll ride like a bike. Not to my taste (geo) but not outrageous I guess.

Your build looks sick by the way

  • There 's very few stiff, straight, disc, steel, good looking forks. I kinda like salsa vaya but cant find it anymore, perhaps soma. Rychtarski is local business, 200 km away from home, not that much more expensive.

  • Surly forks? Straggler etc? Wrong rake?

  • They don't have straight legs, I know it's stupid but I dont like how it looks especialy with disc brakes. Straight fork looks much better, IHMO, with pompino frame. Other than looks surly forks would be great

  • Fair enough.

I’m the other way, prefer curve to straight but that’s more for comfort than looks.

  • My new Seqouia Elite cracked at the chainstay and is in on Warranty Claim so I'm looking at fitting my Pomp with a dropbar. Is it still Tektro RL520 that is the go to for dropbar v-brake?

  • I confirmed fork specs with frame builder, lugeed, straight, rake 45, a-c 400, mudguard mounts, low rider rack mount, cablestop, disc brake mount. I will post pics when it arrives.
Only thing left is color choice. Has anyone identified v4 classic blue color?

  • PX may be able to help. Their customer service can be spotty, but i've called them in the past and they've been helpful.

  • Blue frame, black fork will look better. Big risk of the fork looking shit if its even a shade or two off

  • I wrote PX last week but no answer so far. What Turkish said is right, one shade off and it looks bad. I'm not a big fan of those glossy black forks, I'm thinking about graphite gray or something close to black or satin black. Any suggestions?

  • "chrome" it with some silver christmas decoration spray

  • one shade off and it looks bad

Go many shades & embrace the bad ;)
