Brand experience is part of what you pay for- both the clothing and the RCC membership. Shutting at 4.30 is a false economy if it dilutes said brand experience- staying open for the RCC people who want their free coffee is absolutely what they should do, it’s a luxury brand not a greasy spoon.
If the shop is too quiet then shut it- don’t bugger up the customer experience by half arsing it.
Anyway, I doubt they’ll go bust today, but if they don’t clear out the current management they’ll have to go through this again.

I see no problem with closing somewhere early based on the evidence the store has, rather than "potentially staying open to give away a free coffee".
I don't wear much Rapha though.
