Just got back - first time at one of these things but all very friendly. Not sure who was who but there was a nice Soma Rush, couple of Bianchi Pistas and a Charge Plug together. Anyone from here?
I got some bargain Campag bits so quite chuffed.

"nice soma rush" isn't that an oxymoron?
:P

hey, I was there early on as a friend gave me a lift up. I ummed and ahhd but didn't buy anything, still on the lookout for campag bits myself. Just not what they had there.
Glad you found something max.I think I spotted the LFGSS massive at the junction for harlow or north weald looking a bit confuddled.
Hope you all made it to the cake.

Hammo, I picked up some Campag - pair of brand new Centaur brakes for £20 (I'll keep the front, sell the rear) and a virtually brand new Veloce chainset for another £20 - happy with those, the first bits towards my first 700c fixie. There were no fixie hubs about but saw some lovely NOS Record freewheel hubs. Missed the cake - I was dragging my little boy around so couldn't lurk too long.
pj - don't you like the Soma...? :(

Oh there were some track hubs there. They just went early. Did anyone see the dubious silver track frames? I veered away but i guess they could have been ok.
I've really been missing out all these years, and to make up, i'm going to the next one, the one after that and the one after th........... -

Very dubious I thought - bought over from Poland by the sellers. £100 each...

Those silver track frames were really cheap (I mean the frame, not the price) - the orange one was a bit better tho...
But the best was to talk with all those old dudes and hear their stories - those guys knows so much!

This isnt some wayward brave new world reference is it pj?

I did OK, got a couple of Campy HF hubs, one used front "Tipo", 32H, OK condition and one NOS Record track rear. Trouble is the rear is 28h and I'm kinda a Clydesdale, but it's sooooo pretty. So now I'm having a sealed/not sealed and will it be strong enough laced to cxp33s discussion with myself. Expect to see that question coming soon to a forum near you.
